From standing tree to finished piece

About
Cedar Spirit

Cedar Spirit is the studio of Lorne, a Ktunaxa carver working from Pemberton, British Columbia, in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. The practice spans custom native carvings, heirloom furniture, hand-crafted flutes, and premium lumber milling services — a rare command of the full chain, from the standing tree to the finished masterpiece.

Every piece begins in the woods. Timber is harvested and milled on-site, air-dried with patience, then shaped by ancestral skill: formline relief panels, headboards, and door panels carved in western red and yellow cedar; flutes tuned by hand and voiced in concert pitch. Nothing is outsourced, and nothing is mass-produced.

The work is made for collectors, interior designers, homeowners, and flute players who want functional art with real provenance — people who ask where a piece came from, and want an answer worth telling.
